What you are likely to be offered is a Mueller’s muscle conjunctival resection (MMCR) ptosis surgery. This surgery is highly popular with Oculoplastic surgeons and is often promoted as scarless surgery ( there is a scar but it is behind the eyelid). Surgeons like this procedure because the anatomy is simple. However it is often ineffective or does not provide enough lift. The neosynephrine drop test is not the surgery result. The MMCR also does not control the position of the upper eyelid crease. You have central levator disinsertion that affects both the height of the eyelid and the appearance of the eyelid fold. You need an anterior levator resection ptosis surgery and an anchor blepharoplasty to make the two upper eyelids similar. There is no substitute for a detailed in person assessment. Your eyes can be your best feature.
Upper eyelid ptosis can be corrected red by shortening the tendon or insertion of the elevator muscle (the muscle the opens your eyelid). This may be best done by experienced oculoplastic surgeons in your community. These procedures can also be done by plastic surgeons or facial plastic surgeons. It is a fairly complex procedure that is done by those who have extensive experience. The procedure becomes slightly more challenging when the condition is unbilateral (one side only) I recommend having a few in person consultations with oculoplastic surgeons in your community. If the position of your upper eyelid is blocking your peripheral vision, then this procedure may be covered by medical insurance.Best,Mats Hagstrom MD

Those are a lot of options but you left out one: Fat repositioning with fat grafting. You want to go to someone who feels comfortable with all of the above; that way you will get the approach that best fits you. I most commonly perform fat repositioning and fat repositioning with fat...
