Do I need a revision rhinoplasty? (photos)

Question

I have rhinoplasty is February 2022. I was told by my doctor that I was healing and should wait for final results. Now, a year later my columella is still quite crooked. There is scar tissue in the top left tip (smaller/ appearing nostril) that I believe is what is causing some of the asymmetry… any thoughts on what should my next steps be? My doctor said a revision but I feel that I don’t trust him anymore.

Thank you for your question and photos. It appears that you would benefit from revision rhinoplasty to straighten the columella and make the nostrils appear more symmetrical. If you’re unsure about your initial rhinoplasty surgeon, it’s perfectly acceptable to search for a new one to perform your revision surgery. 
When considering a revision, it’s important to know that each subsequent nose surgery becomes more complex due to the loss of structural support, scar tissue, and other factors. The importance of experience, expertise, and artistry cannot be overstated. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon, with expertise in rhinoplasty techniques. They will be able to review your surgical history, assess your concerns, and determine the treatment option that may be best for you.

Generally speaking, the base view of your nose is the least important view. In that regard, it's tough to know exactly what would be best for you moving forward without seeing additional photos. Since you have lost trust in your surgeon, please consider obtaining a copy of your operative report and get a second opinion. Hope this helps! Dr Joseph

Hello! Thank you for your question.I have evaluated your case regarding the information you provided and your photos.From the photos it looks like your columella is a bit crooked. The left footplate had created a flaring. You need a correction but please keep in mind that this is not something really visible in your daily life. It is visible only from down view. If this really disturbs you, then I can suggest you a revision rhinoplasty surgery.
