I have a lot of muscle pain in and around my left breast for over a year now and getting worse. It looks distorted and I wonder if the implant has turned upside down as it's quite flat.
Answer: Distorted implants Thank you for your question regarding your implants and for including a photo. That is extremely helpful! With capsular contracture, the implants will become hardened. From the photo you shared, it appears that you have a "double bubble". I recommend following up with your plastic surgeon for your post op concerns. Hope this helps!

Answer: Implants Your implants have dropped and are bottoming out causing the extra ridge. If your breasts are soft, your capsules may be just fine. Please wear a good underwire supporting bra and discuss this with your surgeon.

Answer: Double bubble deformity Due to a breast capsule contracture you have developed deformity known as double bubble. Surgery would include replacement of implants and correction of capsule (capsulotomy, capsulorhaphy) or even placement of the implants in the new pocket. In person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon with good reputation in breast surgery is recommended. Good luck.

Answer: Distorted breast Thank you for your question. It is hard to tell based off just one picture to say for certainty of capsular contracture. However, if your breast has become more distorted and painful, then it is likely that you have capsular contracture. Your right breast is clearly a different shape than your left, and the nipple location is higher. You would benefit from a revision of both breasts to get rid of any contour regularity as well. Good luck.
