Can get fat transfer in the future or butt implants after a period of time following removal of aquafilling in buttocks?

Hi! I had injected Aquafilling in my buttocks 4 years ago. Due to complications that started to appear a month ago I went through a surgery to take the filler out. I would like to know if I can get fat transfer in the future or butt implants after a period of time. Also, what kind of scans or tests can I make to see if there is any filler left behind after the procedure? Thank you!

Each plastic surgeon will have their own level of comfort doing a BBL or gluteal implants based on your history. Gluteal implants have a long list of complications and undesirable outcomes. Having had previous fillers probably won’t add too much to this but it is a complex procedure with a substantial number of patients regrett having.

Providers may or may not be comfortable doing a BBL on someone with a history of this filler. It tends to leave open channels that fluid can migrate through kind of like a river system.  Fat injected two anatomic spaces that previously had filler will most likely not survive.  an MRI is the best study to make an assessment in regards to viewing the anatomy and detecting the presence or absence of persistent filler.
