In some cases, bumps or irregularities after filler injections can be due to a variety of reasons, such as product migration, uneven distribution, or residual filler. It's great that you have already discussed your concerns with your injector.

However, if you're still experiencing issues and are unsatisfied with the explanation provided, seeking a second opinion from another experienced injector or a dermatologist might be a good idea. A more thorough examination by a medical professional could help identify the cause and determine the most appropriate course of action. They may suggest additional treatments or procedures to address the specific concerns you have.

The bumps you are experiencing are quite common, and they are often a result of the natural development of the lip in the womb. During fetal development, the lip forms in two separate halves that eventually fuse together in the middle. This fusion process can leave a small dent in the middle of the lower lip. This can then cause a slight elevation on either side of the lower lip, creating the appearance of bumps.
Many injectors prefer to maintain the natural shape of the lower lip. Because of this, they often inject less lip filler in the middle of the lower lip. But some people prefer a more even look of the lower lip. I think that your bumps can easily be corrected by just injecting a small amount of lip filler in the middle of the lower lip.

Some fillers can leave contour, irregularities that do not seem to be related to leftover product. We don’t really know the ideology. Most likely this represents scar tissue that’s formed from repeated micro trauma from injection. Either given enough time to let the filler, completely dissolve to get a baseline before re-injecting or continue working with top-notch Injectors who can hopefully work around the uneven contour. We don’t have an answer why people have remaining volume, especially after long term use of fillers.
