Please help. I need my breast implant removed through my armpit (Photo)

Question

I had breast implant 275cc silicone placed through my underarm. I just had an mri and it shows the implant is intact with no rapture or leaking, no capsular contracture. I want it out because my natural breast have grown so much in the past 7years because I gained 30pounds. I need a doctor who can help remove the implant through my armpit, I do not need the capsule removed as it is really soft with no problems. I scar easily and do not want a scar under my breast. Thank you

Removal of breast implants via a transaxillary incision can be done, but it is not the preferred approach.  You may want to visit with the surgeon who placed the implants to see about removal.  Incisions made for other removal approaches such as inframammary fold, typically heal very well and the scar can be hard to see once mature.

To prevent another scar, the same incision could likely be used again if a capsulectomy is not required and the implants have not ruptured. Some patients feel that the primary drawback of the transaxillary incision location is that it can only be used once. Implant removal will necessitate you incurring new scars typically in the inframmary or periareolar areas.

The best course of action is to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to get more information and options tailored to you specifically. The implant can be taken out from the axila.
