When evaluating a patient for masseter injection with a neuromodulator there are multiple factors to consider including patient reported symptoms as well as physical exam. The beauty of botulinum toxin (e.g. Botox, Dysport, etc), is that you can adjust and account for various asymmetries, so yes, you can inject only the left side of the masseter with Botox to treat your TMJ clenching/pain. That said, you might still put a small dose on the other side.

It doesnt have to be applied equal doses for each. probably you have a teeth problem with the less biting function side. After botox injection, ıt will be better to see a dentist.

It is always recommended to treat with Botox symmetrically. It might be a trial of dosage with your Botox provider as one side may just need a little less than the other.
