Hello, I am slightly over 24 hours post-op for an otoplasty. Thankfully, there is not much pain, but I woke up to find much of my pillow covered in blood. I took off the compressive bandage 24 hours after the operation and am not certain if this is an acceptable amount of swelling for the first day. I also opted to use a sports headband ontop of the surgical headband as I found the one I was provided with to have too little compression, is this a fitting accommodation? Thank You!

A tympanoplasty and an otoplasty can be performed the same time, under local anesthesia. The tympanoplasty is usually performed on otologist, while an otoplasty is usually performed by a facial plastic surgeon or a plastic surgeon.
