I started using Rogaine 5% on my crown area only a month ago. Rogaine making hair dry out?

Since then my hair has been noticeably dryer throughout my entire head. Could this be the rogaine?

Minor symptoms like itchiness, redness, dryness, and discomfort are all fairly common with Minoxidil. You could try better conditioners to counter the dryness, or talk to your doctor about what they'd recommend to combat dryness, potentially even changing your dosage.

yes , rogaine may cause irritation of the skin, redness, dryness, itchiness and dandruff because of alchol content  . It would be better to  consider using a lower dose/percentage.

It's possible it is related to Rogaine but one would ideally need to see your scalp up close to figure this out. Please review with your physician.

Minoxidil is known to cause dryness to the scalp as a side effect. You might try the foam version of this product
