what are the pros and cons of having fat injected into your nose to help with indentation and widening the sides of nose? And also under the scar of the open nasal surgery as it is completely depressed. Any help with this would be great.

Answer: Limitations of fat transfer Fat transfer will most likely be of limited usefulness for what you described. Fillers may be a much better option. Fat transfer is an excellent choice for giving overall diffused volume enhancement, but it is not nearly as effective for small-sized contour corrections.Sometimes more definitive procedures, including cartilage grafting, which is a more standard approach in revision rhinoplasty surgery, are better options. I suggest getting a second opinion from a board-certified plastic surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty surgery. Secondary rhinoplasty surgery can be one of the most complex and difficult procedures to perform.Best of luck,Mats Hagstrom, M.D.

Answer: Fat transfer to nasal indentation Fat transfer is not a very good solution in most cases, due to poor "take" problems. Many other filler options exist, as well as minor revision surgery. The columellar scar can be revised if it has been at least 6 to 12 months since the original procedure. Hope this helps!
