When I was younger, I thought this was natural and that the thigh muscles looked that way but now that I'm older I realize that the dents should not be there. I asked my mother about this issue and she told me that I used to be a sick child and that there was a point where I had to be given needle shots on both of my legs. This was when we lived in Africa. I don't think the nurses had proper training to give me those shots because I ended up being in extreme pain afterwards.
