Is there permanent scarring after liposuction?

Hi,The entry ways for liposuction access are extremely small. They end up about the size of a mole and will continue to fade and shrink for the first 12 months.  I always educate my patients to be  patient with those areas and over time you will be hard pressed to notice them.  All access points are placed in well hidden areas as well to help patients with conceal the areas.Your down time should be minimal as most of my patients are back to work within 24 hrs, the added bonus of being young should help you rebound quickly!

Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis for most deep scars. The options available for acne scars depend on the character of your scars, in terms of topography and contour. We see atrophic and hypertrophic acne scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. We begin each scar evaluation with an assessment of scar quality and subtype. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus 8, scar subcision, fibrous release, fractional laser, CO2 laser, Thulium laser, PDL Vbeam laser, and fractional resurfacing can be used in addition to TCA Cross and chemical peels to further improve skin. Patients should start Melarase AM and Melarase PM for active hyperpigmentation. Always begin with a consultation to decide whether early subcision should be started.

Lipo is done through tiny incisions which are hidden in strategic areas like the armpits, the navel, below the bikini line, etc. Usually they are unnoticeable without a very close inspection and in fair skinned people they are almost invisible. You can certainly divide your lipo into more than one session if you feel that the recovery would be milder and quicker. My patients typically return to work in 2 days after lipo and resume exercise in 2 weeks even after 360 lipo of the torso.
