Based on your photos, I think you will achieve a nice result from a jawline contouring procedure. You do not appear to have a significant amount of fat under your jaw which does not make you an ideal candidate for liposuction. However, an in-person examination would be necessary to make a final determination. There are several procedures which can help define the jaw such as CoolSculpting and Kybella. Hi!The added benefit of smart lipo is really to melt the fat and get some skin tightening.  You skin quality is very good and should retract nicely if you choose not to opt for smart lipo.  Having said that, in experienced hands smart lipo should enhance your results!  I routinely use smart lipo and vaser for patients who need added skin tightening or have large areas of tough/fibrous fat.  I think in your situation, finding the proper provider is the most important given the small area that needs to be treated!  The skill of the doctor is what is most important, not necessarily his tools!

Keeping it simple is the key in this area specially for your chin area which has slight amount of fat.  Doing this procedure for over 19 years successfully I would recommend lipo.  Smart lipo Vaser etc has shown not to give any additional benefits but risks.  You are young and would have excellent retraction potential.  Based on my performing this procedure on 1000s the most important factor is the surgeon and the tools and techniques and surgical approach to give you perfectionist amazing results.   

I find that VASER liposuction in combination with ThermiRF are best for contouring the chin in those who are candidates, but Kybella can be used as an alternative and needs to be combined with thermage/ultherapy/exilis or coolsculpting for good results. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Most of the negative laser lipo stories you hear are from people who were either not good candidates, had their work done by less experienced surgeons, or both. You look like a good candidate and you sound like you have realistic expectations. As long as you find a skilled cosmetic surgeon who performs a great deal of liposuction and Smartlipo, I think you'll be happy with your outcome.

Smart Lipo which is done under local anesthesia and minimally invasive would be my advice. The lasering is done internally, so results are more dramatic than your external treatment options and will help with skin tightening to avoid saggy skin results. The fat that is melted is then removed using a very small canula.
