Answer: Miradry for the groin area At this time, Miradry is only FDA approved for the axilla. I would wait until the next generation of hyperhidrosis treatments become FDA approved for other areas. Botox may be more helpful for you at this time.Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles

Answer: Botox Botox can be a good alternative while miradry is being approved for use in those areas. Botox prevents the nerves from telling the sweat glands to produce sweat and odor. Hope that helps!

Answer: MiraDry is designed for the axilla ('armpits') MiraDry can only treat the axilla or underarm area. Other areas that are prone to sweating (focal hyperhidrosis) can be treated with botulinum toxin which is an effective but temporary treatment. - Dr. Keaney

Answer: MiraDry in other areas Thanks for your question. At this time, the MiraDry is only designed for use in the axillae (underarms), but hopefully in the future the company will develop a safe tip for the hands, feet and groin area. Botox can be a good temporary option for those areas, so see your dermatologist for options. Best of luck.

Answer: MiraDry for groin hyperhidrosis is off label use - Buffalo Niagara, NY If by groin you mean inner thighs and buttocks, then the answer is yes - it will be effective. However, this application requires experience and is considered 'off label' use by the FDA. More acceptable practices for groin hyperhidrosis are Botox injections which are very effective.
