Before Aveli - I have always been very shapely and decided to make a lifestyle change to become healthier. In the process of losing weight, my cellulite became extremely noticeable especially on my buttocks. In addition to advance cellulite, I had lost a lot of volume in my buttocks because of my overall decrease in BMI. 255lbs to 165lbs. I went on several consultations for BBL’s to restore the volume and shape of my butt. One doctor recommended a lower body lift, one doctor recommended a tummy tuck, and three others agreed to perform the BBL, but could not promise that my cellulite would improve or much volume could be restored because I did not have the fat needed to restore the amount of volume lost. I did three sessions of Velashape to no avail, and resulted in zero improvement. After much research, I decided to get sculptra injections to restore the volume in my buttocks… in the hopes that it would help some with asymmetry. All together I ended up having about 16 injections (8 per cheek) of sculptra over a period of a year; with a different plastic surgeon’s office. Honestly I did see improvement in volume but the depressions from the cellulite dimples were still very noticeable. When I initially found out about Aveli, I decided against it, because it seemed a bit invasive. After not getting the visual results I’d hoped for with the Sculptra, I decided to go for it. Aveli - The consultation was easy and fast. Before the procedure, the anesthetic is locally administered. Once the dimples are identified, each area must be numbed up INDIVIDUALLY. (*****There are no disclosures about this that I’ve seen anywhere, which is super unfair to anyone that signs up for Aveli.*****) The injections burned and in a star like pattern. (If you’ve ever had Sculptra injections in your buttocks, it’s similar to that). I had 20+ dimples treated. The process took about an hour. The prodecure is itself is painless because once the anesthetic is administered, you cannot feel anything. The doctor uses the tool to break up each septa that causes the indentation (dimple). These septa are not easy to break up. They are very tough! Dr. Keaney put in work because I had a lot of dimples that were deep. The process took about 30-40 mins. After the procedure is completed, the nurses massage your buttocks downwards to drain the fluid from the anesthetic. The experience wasn’t horrible, but definitely unexpected. The incisions are bandaged and you go home in spanx. Post Aveli - Drainage last for 5 days and my wounds finally closed at 7 days. Results were pretty obvious day 1. After 30 days my results settled but a few dimples did reappear after 60 days which could have already been there and I didn’t notice due to swelling. I am 90 days out as I write this review and I’m still a bit sore in some places. I also still have a little bit of bruising. I still wear my spanks and use a pillow to drive because it’s comfortable for me. Recommendation- I wrote this thorough review because I wanted the readers to know the full truth. I think my results are from a combination of Sculptra and Aveli. Please do your research and go on multiple consultations. I almost got invasive surgery for something that I had taken care of during an out of office procedure.
To replace lost "fat" in face, emphasize cheekbones, and minimize wrinkles , I had volumna, Botox, and Fraxel Laser. This combined procedure did not take long, was relatively painless, and resulted in no downtime. These treatments administered by Dr. Keaney revitalized and rejuvenated my face in a very natural way, and I am thrilled w/ the results!
The entire procedure was relatively painless and thankfully went exactly as Dr. Keaney said it would. The entire team was incredibly helpfull with telling me what to expect. I am extremely pleased with not only the results of the transplant but the fact that no one even noticed that had even HAD the procedure! I would not only highly recommend this to anyone who is loosiing their hair but I highly recommend getting it done by Dr. Terrence Keaney and his crack staff. I think I look 10 years younger.
Dr. Keaney has the best bed side manner I have experienced. He is very personable but also incredibly professional. If you ask, he will provide honest suggestions or recommendations. However, you never feel like he's trying to up-sell you. Not only is he a pleasure to see, he is incredibly detailed oriented in his practice. He takes his time with each patient, and never rushes through an appointment. I have always been 100% satisfied with the results his work has provided, and will be a long time customer.
The redness associated with rosacea often requires combination therapy for optimal results. For facial flushing, MirVaso can lead to temporary improvement by constricting the blood vessels. To reduce low levels of inflammation in the skin that leads to facial redness, prescription products like Soolantra, Finacea, Oracea, and/or Metrogel can be effective. Consult with your local dermatologist for the ideal regime. To eliminate the dilated blood vessels that have already be formed, laser treatments (PDL or Excel V) are very effective. Lastly, some redness on the face is due to sun damage and poor skin barrier function. Using a daily broad spectrum sunscreen and customized skincare routine should be a requirement for every rosacea patient. - Dr. Keaney
Toppik is a synthetic product designed to camouflage the thinning scalp. It is not real hair. - Dr. Keaney
Botox relaxes muscles that lead to wrinkle formation. It does not add volume. Dermal fillers (Juvederm, Restylane, Sculptra, etc) can replace volume in the face but are not FDA approved for uses off of the face. If you desire "chest fullness", I recommend muscle building exercises. - Dr. Keaney
Botox of the masseter muscles causes the muscles to atrophy or shrinken. This process takes months and repeat treatments to improve and thin the lower face. Patience is key; immediate results are not expected. -Dr. Keaney
"Hair loss" is misnomer. Androgenetic Alopecia is a miniaturization process where your hair follicles produce smaller and shorter hairs. Hair shedding is common in everyone. We shed approximately 100-200 hairs a day but those with androgenetic alopecia replace those hairs with thinner hairs that do not cover the scalp skin. -Dr. Keaney
