How long time the swelling remans? I had my first procedure last week. Now, I'm not sweating, but there is swelling like a cushions and a little pain like a shock, principally when I lift my arms. Is it normal?

Thank you for your question. Using topical anesthesia prior to the local needle injection can make a big difference. Patients that are very anxious and needle-phobic, I can prescribe oral medications that reduces the anxiety level as an additional measure for comfort.
Although unusual, localized swelling can occur in the axilla and similarly in the pectoral area. I have never seen it extend to the abdomen in over 600 cases that I have done. It shoudl go away. Take some bioflavonoids as they will reduce tissue edema and lymphedema that is localized to the area...
