Would not icing after rhinoplasty affect the final results. I haven't used ice immediately after the surgery as I was nauseous most of the time. Would that affect the results?
Answer: Icing After Surgery Thank you for your question.Ice may reduce the initial swelling, but using it or not using it probably doesn't affect the final result at all. Best of luck!

Answer: Ice after rhinoplasty Each rhinoplasty surgeon has their own set of postoperative instructions, so make sure you contact your surgeon to get their exact recommendations. In general, ice application following any surgical procedure helps to reduce swelling and bruising. For rhinoplasty, you can experience swelling regardless of icing or not, but icing is still helpful. It is very helpful to reduce black eyes if osteotomies were performed. Don't over-do it with the ice either- never ice to the point of it being painful or uncomfortable, and take plenty of rests in between applications of ice.Best wishes

Answer: Ice after rhinoplasty Hello and thank you for your question. It is very normal to be swollen in the immediate postoperative period. Ice can help this. However, not icing will have no longterm adverse effects. I advise patients that the final result of rhinoplasty takes 12 months. I recommend that you return to see your surgeon, as he/she will have a good idea of what to expect in regards to your specific progress, since they can evaluate you in relation to your preoperative appearance.Best wishes and good luck

Answer: Icing following rhinoplasty Icing after most types of surgery will reduce swelling and discomfort in the immediate post operative period. Not icing may lead to a longer period of swelling but should not affect the long term results. Be careful not to freeze the skin since this may lead to damage.
