I am having a tummy tuck, BBL, Lipo done on July 15. I want to get my lips done before or after surgery. Is it safe to get them done 2 days before my surgery? Or is it safer to get them done 1 week after my surgery? I only have that little time frame to get them done which is why I’m asking. If anyone could please answer thank you!

Answer: I am getting a tummy tuck, BBL & lipo done Wednesday July 15. Can I get a lip filler before my surgery? Although the TT and BBL can be performed under local anesthesia, these procedures can be extraordinarily painful for the patient. The patient's pain threshold and anxiety level should be taken into consideration. You want the most dramatic transformation possible, and you also do not want to be in pain during the procedure so that the surgeon must stop the procedure or do less than what is necessary. If you move or tighten your abdominal muscles, you may compromise results. If your surgeon is an expert in TTs, BBLs, lipo, and lip fillers and can complete all of these in less than six hours, you can combine all the surgeries into one.

Answer: Fillers associated to Surgery There is no restriction to do fillers during surgery.Actually I do fillers during the surgery to take advantage of the anesthesia and prevent my patient to suffer of the pain. Just have in mind my patients get Peridural anesthesia and sedation in a 100% of the body procedures. So no intubation. Dr. Cardenas
