What can I do to get rid of bubble under my eye from filler a year ago? (Photos)

I had my tear trough filled 1 year ago. I developed a bubble under my eye which seems to be perm what can I do to get rid of this? I had my tear through filled 1 year ago and the product has since dissipated, however, I am seeing this bubble/pocket under my left eye, right in attaches photos. What could have caused this and can this be reversed? I cry every time I see myself in photos, when I smile it appears to be worse. Would laser tightening in this area help? This was not present prior to my treatment. My Dr states he can’t see it and suggests it’s shadowing! I can see it and it’s not shadowing. Please help.

We can try to dissolve any residual filler that may be causing that noticeable bulge. If that works, we can give it a week or 2 to relax and then start again with a softer under eye filler like Restylane.

If this is HA filler, it can be reversed with hyaluronidase. It may take a series of treatments. I recommend following up with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer

Thank you for your question! It can often be corrected with filler to even it out.  A lower eyelid blepharoplasty can also correct it. Consult with your surgeon and let them know you would like something done to see what they offer you. Thankyou for your question and yes it is visible. If the product was one of the Hyaluronic  acid range then this can be dissolved with an injection of hyalase. You may need more than one treatment but it will disappear. Good luck

Depending on the type of filler you had it may be possible to dissolve it with a simple hyaluronidase injection.

I just treated a patient exactly like your case. Hyaluronidase will do the trick. Find an injector that is familiar with hyaluronidase and tear trough area. Filler has not dissipated. Fillers under the eye hangs around much longer.

Do you know exactly which product was used? Some products can leave more permanent bumps. Typical fillers can be treated with an enzyme that breaks the product down.  Also,surgical correction of the under eye fullness may be an option when the product is dissipated. Your treating physician or another trusted expert should do an in office consultation to discuss the options
