The sad appearance of your eyes is due to the position of the lower eyelids and outer corner, being more down. You may benefit from elevation of the outer portion of the lower eyelids and corner (canthus). Personal consultation is necessary.
Botox can be used to improve wrinkles around the eye. Deeper wrinkles need a combination approach with Botox and lasers, microneedling/prp and fillers. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer
Thank you for this provocative question. Obviously, an in person exam would yield the best answers. However, if you were my patient and looking as young as you do, I would suggest the use of Restylane injected just under the lateral canthal tendon which will raise the corner of your eye, and a second injection of a tiny amount of Restylane under your lateral brow which will elevate your brow and also your lateral upper eyelid skin. These two injections should brighten your appearance and make you look more cheerful and less tired. These techniques were taught to me by Dr. Robert Goldberg of the Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA.
Thank you for sharing your question and posting your photographs. Your eyes don’t look tired, but would look more awake with conservative Blepharoplasty. See an experienced Oculoplastic Surgeon for comprehensive evaluation and discussion of treatment options.Good luck!
Thank you for your question. Blepharoplasty (or eyelid surgery) is the surgical procedure that gives your eyes a more rested appearance. It can reduce the excess skin and fatty issue that develop in both the upper and lower eyelids with aging. A blepharoplasty is used to improve the appearance of your eyes when your eyelids may make you look sad, even if this isn't an accurate image of how you are feeling. I suggest that you move forward and consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon to determine your candidacy.Best wishes,
The look that you describe is "sad" is from the outer portion of your eyes being in a lower position. A procedure called a canthoplasty can address this. See a board certified plastic surgeon for a consultation to learn more.
thank you for your question and photo. I do see the changes that you are noticing. In my opinion, there are three elements contributing to the appearance that you would like to change. The first and most important is your lower eyelid and lateral canthal position. Improving this with a canthoplasty with some lower eyelid elevation could help. Second, there is some fullness in your upper eyelid that is crowding your eyes and this could be improved with a blepharoplasty. And third, your temporal brow has a downward trajectory which could be improved with a temporal brow lift. Consider seeing an ASOPRS oculoplastic surgeon for a consultation. Best of luck!
The contour of the lateral portion of the lower lid sags a little. Fixing that, would improve the "sad" appearance. I don't thing the upper eyelids contribute to the "sad" look.
Hi - thank you for your question. The shape of your eyebrows at the outer edges, towards your ears, gives you a sad eye appearance. I recommend Botox injections to lift the brows; the injections will need to be repeated about every 3 months. If you like this look & want a more permanent solution, a surgical brow lift can achieve the same look. An upper blepharoplasty will give you a larger space to apply eyeshadow but will not change the overall “sad” appearance you describe. I recommend a consultation with an Oculoplastic Surgeon in Chicago.Good luck from Boise, Idaho,Dr. Caroline Vargason @cveyeplastics
Your photos reveal heavy eyelids. I would recommend a Blepharoplasty. This procedure would remove excess skin and open up the lids. This would make you look more awake and less tired.
