Which are the best doctors with rib for revision rhinoplasty? (Photo)

Question

I'm looking for a top doc for my revision rhinoplasty, and I'm going to need rib for my desired outcome. Which docs, to name a few, are the best and most capable of achieving my goal? I had a rhino a year ago and the doctor brought my bridge down to much. I only had a slight hump, and my desired outcome photo is what my nose was supposed to look like with the very small hump removed, he did to much. So far I'm thinking Dr. Sam Rizk and Dean Toriumi, are these good and who else? I'm a male btw.

Firstly you need a surgeons who specialises in rhinoplasty as the majority of their practice. In general this sort of surgeon will have significant experience with rib graft use and be able to explain the benefits and limitations

Hello Hoskel,Thanks for your question.Why do you feel a rib graft is the only option for restoring height to your bridge?  Are you open to a DCF graft made from rib cartilage, or are you looking for a solid rib graft?Both Dr. Rizk and Dr. Toriumi are good options.Dr. Spencer Cochran in Dallas is another great option.Looking at your photos, I would humbly suggest that your current dorsal height looks good relative to the other points of projection on your face. But I do understand if you want to restore your old nose as much as possible.Good luck,Dr. Shah

The most important thing is that you go to a doctor who you feel comfortable speaking with and expressing your concerns.  I also would caution you about being so eager to moving toward using rib cartilage for your revision.  Keep in mind that most revisions are still done without rib cartilage even for dorsal augmentation.  The more "involved" the operation the more variables that can go wrong.  Perhaps you need crushed or morselized cartilage grafts to augment your dorsum.  Any surgeon who does A LOT of rhinoplasty and revisions will be able to see you.  It is tough to make specific recommendations though because it is a personal choice.  Regarding rib rhinoplasty, any surgeon who does a lot of rib harvests for rhinoplasty can also do this.
