I am a petite 5'1 100lbs and the implants chosen for m were 425cc hp since I liked the look of the 375cc. I'm currently 11 days post Op and I'm very much regretting not getting 350 instead. I'm just kind of depressed now because I literally wanted this for so long and I feel like it's the worst mistake of my life. Plus I lost sensation in my left nipple. Do you think my surgeon would do a revision for me at a discounted price? I just want this anxiety to end. :(
Answer: Much More Healing to Go If you are only eleven days post surgery, then you have a lot of changes ahead. Right now your breasts are very high and presumably tight ( based on your pictures). As everything relaxes and settles, you should see significant changes. The size will decrease ( most women lose about 10% of what they see from swelling going down), they will soften, and look much more natural. It takes three months on average for everything to stop changing so be patient and let everything run its healing course. I would be surprised if you felt this same way at that point. I hope this helps.

Answer: Implant dropping Dear evelyngsanchez33,Dropping of implants is part of the healing process and this occurs after the tissues surrounding the implants slowly relax, allowing the implants to settle into their final position. It can take about four to six months for the implant to drop down to their final position.I understand that you are worried about your implants are not dropping as expected. However, you are still in the early phase of the recovery period. Please do allow some time for the healing process to occur. If after six months, you are not satisfied with the appearance of your breast, you can visit your plastic surgeon and discuss your concernsDaniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Answer: Will my breasts get smaller after they drop and fluff? I'm sorry to hear about the concerns you are experiencing after breast surgery. Given that you are very fresh out of surgery, it is quite possible that you are experiencing significant “emotional ups and downs” unnecessarily. You should be aware that a significant percentage of patients at your stage of recovery will feel that they are too big or (more commonly) too small. I routinely ask my patients to wait at least 3-6 months before evaluating the end results of the breast augmentation surgery. This waiting time allows patients to (usually) physically and psychologically adapt to the new body image. In other words, it is much too early to evaluate the outcome of the procedure performed; your breasts will undoubtedly change over the course of the next several weeks/months. Although online consultants cannot predict whether or not you will be pleased with the long-term outlook, of the procedure performed, it is safe to predict that the breasts will change. Do your best to stay emotionally even keeled. I would suggest continued patience and continued close follow-up with your plastic surgeon.Generally speaking, the policy regarding coverage of expenses for revisionary surgery will vary from office to office and probably on a case-by-case basis as well. Costs of revisionary surgery may range from zero, to anesthesia/surgery center fees, to discounted surgeon's fees. Generally speaking, I suggest patients communicate their concerns in a calm and constructive fashion; this form communication tends to be much more effective than confrontational communication. Best wishes for an outcome that you will be pleased with longer-term.

Answer: Size Change after Breast Aug Hi, EvelynGSanchez. Thank you for sharing your photograph and concerns. As others have already stated, it is very early to now your final result. In looking at your photograph, your tissues still appear quite tight and swollen, with the implants distorted and elevated. Generally, as the tissues relax and stretch, the implants will settle into a more appropriate and balance position, and take on a more pleasing contour, termed with the catchy "drop and fluff." The "drop and fluff" change refers to the filling of the bottom part of the breast once the implant settles from its elevated position.Regarding the size, the volume will reduce with the reduction in swelling. Whether the implant appears somewhat larger or smaller will depend on your tissue's degree of relaxation and the implant's final position and contour. These changes definitely take some time.Your surgeon will be in the best position to help guide you as to whether your course is on track or not. He/she would also be able to suggest whether certain adjuvant tools, such as massage, a breast strap, certain medications, etc. would be beneficial in your case or not.Best of luck to you, and I hope that you ultimately achieve the results (and size) that you were hoping for! Answer: Implants at 11 days At 11 days out, you are still early in the healing process and really need to give it 4-6 months to settle. Best of luck.
