I do Crossfit andwas doing rope climbs two days ago. I noticed yesterday that my right breast (which would be my primary arm) is firm and swollen. Is this workout related or could it be ruptured?

Answer: Rupture of breast implant after cross fit Cross fit is unlikely to cause a rupture. However, Crossfit is very intense and climbing a rope could cause delayed bleeding or a delayed seroma, particularly if you have textured implants. Check in with your surgeon. An ultrasound could be done to look for fluid. Best wishes.

Answer: Implant rupture Thanks for your question. Almost certainly, no, a workout would not cause an implant less than 5 years old (probably even 10 or more) to rupture. The current implants are amazingly durable. However, a workout could cause a muscle or capsule (body's natural scar formed around the implant) tear. That can cause bleeding which might make the breast suddenly very firm. I'd have your surgeon take a look. Best wishes.
