How many days after forehead reduction/hairline lowering is it okay to straighten your hair and use a dryer?

It is best to contact your surgeon for post surgery issues and care since all doctors have slightly different instructions.

I tell my patients to avoid hair coloring and straightening for 3 weeks after hairline lowering/forehead reduction. A hair dryer can be used as soon as the dressing comes off but patients have to be careful to avoid the hot cycle for several weeks because scalp sensation is compromised after this procedure.

You can treat your hair normally once 3 weeks have passed and the wound has completely healed.
