In September 2020 I had a tummy tuck and waited for the swelling to go down. The doc did drain the swelling a couple of times and then there was nothing left to drain. But I had what looked like a pool noodle around my waist. I hated it and it took its toll on my confidence. April of 2021 I had a revision and still have a bulge above my scar that looks like I'm bloated and I can pinch it like it's fat. I have not gained weight and am very active. Help, how do I get rid of it?!
Answer: Fat above scar Dear Cheerful843466, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Swelling If you are able to pinch the area it may improve with liposuction. I encourage you to return to your surgeon for an evaluation. Since the concern seems to be persistent you may want to explore a second opinion as well.

Answer: How can I get rid of swelling fat above Tummy Tuck Revision scar? (photos) Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. Nothing replaces an in-person examination but it appears to be more of a muscle laxity issue rather than a skin and fat issue. This is best determined with an in-person examination but further abdominal muscle tightening is likely the best course for improvement.
