Would a revision be needed or just liposuction? (photos)

Question

Had tummy tuck exactly 6 months ago and at 5weeks stomach started getting larger after drains were removed. Doc kept saying its just swelling but something didn't feel right. Fast forward to now it looks like I never had a tummy tuck.

Frist, are you pregnant? There could be several reasons why your abdomen is getting larger, or not getting smaller, and not all are related to your surgery. I would suggest meeting with your surgeon to rule out surgical reasons, then see your primary care physician.

Normally the swelling after tummy tuck can go from 6-12 months but in your case it seems to be loose skin so it makes you a candidate for a second tummy tuck.

An in person evaluation is needed assess the fullness of your abdomen.  If it is muscle wall laxity then a revision of your tummy tuck can correct this.  If it is related to visceral fat (fat around the organs) then weight loss is needed to improve the contour.  Visit with a board certified plastic surgeon near you to learn more.

Your photographs appear to demonstrate fullness of the abdomen. I am unable to ascertain if this represents accumulation of fat beneath the skin, internal visceral fat or a disruption of the repair of your anterior abdominal muscles during your abdominoplasty. 
Superficial fat is addressed with liposuction, abdominal wall repair is accomplished with abdominoplasty revision, and visceral fat is addressed with a regimen of diet and exercise. A physical examination is required to differentiate among these entities. 
Without height and weight information, one cannot ascertain your candidacy for correction.
Your candidacy for cosmetic surgery requires consideration of many factors. One is measurement of your BMI (body mass index equals weight in kg / square of height in meters). You can find BMI calculators on the internet. If your BMI is greater than 30, the cosmetic result will not be optimal. If your BMI is greater than 35, your operative risk will rise. Weight loss through diet and exercise is recommended. If not achievable, a bariatric procedure (such as a gastric sleeve) will result in significant weight loss.
If your weight is within an acceptable range, seek a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon for evaluation and discussion.
