Finding a doctor that's performed tummy tuck on large amount of male patients?

The answer is brutally simple. Call the office and ask.
Say, "I want a tummy tuck, but I will feel comfortable if the doctor has done at least 50 on male patients. You may not know the answer to my question, but could you find out and get back to me?"
Then proceed.
As you can discover reading the replies to your post, you may encounter some difficulty finding someone that meets your criteria, but I would suggest that every experienced surgeon you call would feel perfectly comfortable in performing a tummy tuck on you that would meet your expectations.

The majority of tummy tucks are after childbirth, to correct separated muscles and lose skin in females.

Massive weight loss patients also present for tummy tucks, again, the majority are women after childbirth.

Many male patients do not require or opt for skin removal- some opt for liposuction. Typical massive weight loss will require tummy tuck skin removal but may or may not require muscle tightening.

Obviously, there are other differences with torso/ physique contouring, inscision/ scar placement,l etc with male patients, but overall concepts and results are very similar in my experience, and obviously on a case by case basis.

Continued consideration with plastic surgeons is recommended to feel comfortable.

finding the right Dr. is extremely challenging especially with the number of online platforms and resources available. There a lot of great Dr's available. Make sure he/she is a board-certified plastic surgeon. Definitely check to make sure your choice specializes in the procedure you want and spend the time to read through patient testimonials. There is a number of different sites where you can check for reviews (Realself, yelp, google, etc.).
You can always pick up the phone and call around also, find an office you feel comfortable with and set up a few consultations.

After a patient has gone from 280 lbs. to 167 lbs., the underlying support layer, called the fascia, is weakened or been damaged. It is for this reason, when I perform a tummy tuck on massive weight loss patients, that I use mesh reinforcement. The mesh is laid on top of the fascia and sutured in place. The most important factor which you should consider in choosing your surgeon would be their photographic evidence of excellent results after abdominoplasty. Aside from some obvious external anatomical differences, performing an abdominoplasty in a male or a female is identical. Height of pubic hair in the mons, distance from the top of the pubic hair to the umbilicus, pinch test determination of amount of skin to safely remove and final incision location are all performed the same in either male or female. Statistics show that females have more plastic surgery done than males. It would be very unlikely for you to find a physician who has far more male patients than female patients. Thanks for your inquiry. It would have been helpful to see your front and side view pictures. As far as female vs male tummy tuck I can tell you that there is no difference. The anatomy is the same. Usually it involves abdominal muscles and skin tightening. I have performed tummy tuck surgery on over 1500 females and about 20 on males in my 38 years of plastic surgery practice., This ratio is quite typical since the main reason for tummy tuck surgery is child delivery that causes significant abdominal muscles and skin laxity. This ratio might change since the use of Semaglutides injection (Ozempic, Wegovy etc) males can lose weight relatively effortlessly , so more men will be inclined to ask for tummy tuck surgery. The outcome of tummy tuck surgery involves flat stomach with youthful looking skin, improved posture, narrower waists and most likely weight loss due to the muscles tightening that reduces the sense of hunger and the amount of food that one can consume.
Always consult with experience board certified plastic surgeons who perform surgery in accredited surgery center for your safety. Most importantly, check the before and after pictures in the photo gallery to make sure that they are numerous and attractive as described above.
