Cheekbone implant or bone graft? I had regretful cheekbone reduction done in the past. (Photos)

Hello and thank you for your question.  I would recommend malar implants.  Malar implants can
be placed as a permanent way to gain volume in the cheek.  I always use
medpor implants with screw fixation.  Silicone malar implants tend to
have a high rate of malrotation over time.  The most important
aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek
consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate
you in person.

I would recommend getting cheek implants.  Having iliac bone graft harvested is Not worth the morbidity. Please find a surgeon that you trust and do not proceed with this surgery until that point. I wish you the best. Dr. Ardeshirpour

Hi,Cheek implants should do the trick. You probably need custom carved cheek implants but from a standard shape. Implantech.com has a variety of silicone cheek implants that would work.Best,Dr.S.

my vote would be for implants. Cheaper More controllable, easily reversed or modified. Less surgery. Others may have other opinions, but that would be my preference.
