Active Hives, Unknown Cause - is it okay to proceed with my upcoming BBL Appt?

I'm currently 23yrs , i am booked for a bbl on July but i am concern.... i started getting random hives 2 months ago, i have been checked by doctor and had blood work done.. doctor didn't give me any proper answer to why i am getting these hives randomly on daily basis. I am now concern if i will be good for surgery or if i should reschedule any advice ?

every plastic surgeon has his own preoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.

Daily hives for two months with no clear cause should be taken seriously before an elective BBL. Even if your blood work was normal, active hives can reflect an allergic, medication-related, infectious, autoimmune, or idiopathic process, and surgery/anesthesia can add new triggers such as antibiotics, prep solutions, pain medicines, garments, stress, and temperature changes. You should tell your plastic surgeon and anesthesia team now, not at the last minute.

In most cases, it would be safer to postpone until the hives are controlled and you have been evaluated by the right clinician, often an allergist or dermatologist if your primary doctor has not found the cause. Your surgeon may want documentation of the evaluation, a medication plan, and a period of stability before proceeding. If you develop lip/tongue swelling, throat tightness, wheezing, trouble breathing, or faintness with the hives, that is urgent and should be treated immediately rather than handled as a cosmetic-surgery timing question.
