Thank you for your question. Typically patients can shower 48 hours after surgery. I recommend that they face away from the shower head and wash the incisions gently with soap and water and then pat dry. After two weeks if there are no wound problems I allow patients to take a bath or go swimming. Your plastic surgeon should be able to direct you specifically as they know the details of your surgery.
