Hello, I broke my nose and it’s still crooked, I was wondering, in order to fix it, which procedure should I have done for the best possible outcome, , an open reduction or a rhinoplasty ? Thank you.
Answer: Rhinoplasty Hi, It is better for you to consult with a facial plastic surgeon who can examine you and give you opinion based on your needs and expectations. Mostly you need rhinoplasty to get it straight.

Answer: Open reduction, septoplasty, spreader graft. Based on your photo, you appear to have a very thin nasal skin which is not forgiving after rhinoplasty surgery. In that regard, there is more of a propensity for visible irregularities. Please consult with an experienced rhinoplasty specialist. You appear to have a pleasing nasal tip appearance, so I understand your reluctance for a rhinoplasty. If your goals of surgery are to achieve a straighter nasal appearance, I believe you would need a spreader graft on the right side to fill the indentation along your right mid side wall. Your tip appears to be a bit off the midline, possibly from a deviated septum. We would need to visualize your oblique photo and your profile photo to ascertain as to whether or not tip work would be necessary. Wishing you well moving forward, and I hope this was helpful. Sincerely, Dr. Joseph

Answer: Rhinoplasty You would benefit from a rhinoplasty. Your septum may be deviated as well your cartilage. A rhinoplasty is an open reduction. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Nasal Surgery Consult with an experienced rhinoplasty surgeon for their opinion based on a comprehensive examination. There are internal factors that may come into play such as a deviated septum that should be addressed at the same time. Additionally, during the examination, you should express any concerns you have with regards to desired changes in form and function with your nose. The surgeon should be able to present an understandable plan to achieve your goals. Names or procedures or techniques are not as important as your surgeon's expertise and training.

Answer: Rhinoplasty Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photograph, you have significant mid-vault asymmetry and need bone work and also placement of spreader grafts to straighten your nose. Rhinoplasty is a much better option for you. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Reish, M.D. Harvard-trained plastic surgeon
