Hello everyone! Seeking advice from those who've undergone breast implant surgery or surgeons experienced with similar cases. I'm 5'5, 55kg, aiming for a natural look with more fullness on top and a fluffy, not hard appearance. My current doctor suggests 260-300cc, dual plane, high profile. Concerned high profile might look fake on my frame. Any thoughts or recommendations? Considering my initial breast shape, can I achieve a result similar to my wish pic? Thank you!

Your starting photos show a smaller breast volume with some limited upper-pole fullness, while the wish photos show a fuller, rounder upper breast and more cleavage. That type of change may be possible, but it will not look exactly the same on every body because chest width, breast base width, skin envelope, nipple position, and soft-tissue thickness all matter.

A 260 to 300 cc range can be reasonable for a 5'5", 55 kg frame, but the number of cc's is less important than how the implant width and projection fit your breast measurements. High profile does not automatically mean fake. On a narrow chest, a high-profile implant may fit the base width better while adding projection. On another body, it may create too much roundness or upper-pole fullness.

For a soft, natural result, I would focus the discussion on implant diameter, projection, tissue coverage, and whether moderate-plus versus high profile gives the best match to your breast width. Dual plane placement often helps soften the upper edge of the implant, especially in thinner patients. Ask your surgeon to compare the actual implant dimensions, use sizers or 3D imaging if available, and show results in patients with a similar starting shape.

breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small.You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.

From your photo you appear to be a good candidate for breast augmentation.  Your goals of a natural, full breast are achievable.  A high or ultra high profile implant will give you more of a rounded, "fake" look. Having the implant placed under the muscle will help achieve a more natural look. Thank you for your question and the photos. I do not like the HP profile b/c I think that it looks very round and unnatural. I use the Sientra implants and for your frame and desired look, I would use a Moderate or possibly Moderate Plus implant. The size range seems appropriate. Best of Luck!
