I am 5'5" 198-200lbs. I have absolutely no shape to my bottom/hips. I ultimately would like to get a mommy makeover. My primary goal would be to get a bbl this summer. I have always been on the heavier side and I know my weight would not fluctuate. Do I stand a chance to get good results? Is a bbl possible at my weight? Recommended? Would I have trouble finding a surgeon?
Answer: Am I a candidate for a BBL at my weight - 200 lbs, 5'5"? (photo) A MM typically includes a TT, breast augmentation or breast lift, and liposuction. The BBL can be added to these procedures. Your general health, genetics, exercise habits, dietary habits, weight, and other factors must be considered. Most plastic surgeons prefer that the BMI be near 30 (yours is 33.3) and that weight goal maintained for several months prior to the surgery to lower the risks of complications during and after surgery and to provide maximum results. Consult via email, Skype, or in person with a board certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate your anatomy and recommend the best treatment plan to reach your goals.

Answer: BBL & Tummy Tuck Thanks for your question. At my practice, the max Body Mass Index (BMI) limit for a Brazilian butt lift (BBL) is 35. If you are planning on doing a tummy tuck and a BBL separately, it makes sense to do the tummy tuck first. Then 4-5 months later, a BBL can be performed. The reason being that if you have significant excess skin and you get liposuction in that area, the area will look wrinkled, scarred, and irregular. Also doing significant liposuction on the abdomen and then having a tummy tuck later can predispose you to wound healing complications after the tummy tuck. I would recommend scheduling a consult for a proper evaluation by a board certified plastic surgeon. Take care, Moises Salama MD, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Am I a candidate for a BBL at my weight - 200 lbs, 5'5"? Hello and thank you for posting. Your BMI is a little high at 33.3. This could be ok for some surgeons. My BMI Limit is at 34, for example. That said, a lower BMI translates to better results and a safer procedure.Liposuction of your full back and flanks will give you a nicer silhouette shape, plus fat grafting to your butt will round out your butt and add volume. This means you should see dramatic improvement. The end result will not only depend on how much fat we have to harvest and how much of it survives, but also on how much fat actually fits. Some patients have tighter skin and a smaller area for transfer. This will ultimately affect results. In summary, I would say you will have great improvement with a BBL as long as your expectation are realistic.Best of luck,Dr. Miguel Mota

Answer: Am I a candidate for a BBL at my weight - 200 lbs, 5'5"? Hi and thank you for your question. Based on your history and photos, I believe you would be an great candidate for liposuction 360 and fat transfer to buttocks/ hip dip. Liposuction from the abdomen, flanks, back and lateral chest wall help to sculpt the body and create a smaller/ slimmer waist. Fat transfer is then done to build volume and shape to the buttocks. It is important to be physically fit to undergo surgery and be at a stable weight typically a BMI
