Dr. Sohrab is an excellent surgeon. I had an upper blepharoplasty and a brow lift about a month ago and I am thrilled with the results. Dr. Sohrab took the time to explain both procedures in detail and never pressured me to do either. I have already referred her to several friends. Her front desk manager, Kiera is wonderful as well.
My recent experience in regards to the eyelid surgery with Dr. Sohrab was beyond positive from start to finish! From the kind, compassionate consultation to day of professionalism and complete after care plan I could not have received a better outcome. The actual physical results exceeded my expectations, I’m excited to continue my journey with other treatments Dr. Sohrab offers!
Dr Sohrab is the best. She explained my options after eyelid surgery. I can only say she is caring, takes her time with you, gives you personal attention, gives you the attention you will not find in a large practice. I am 78 and I am glad I found Dr. Sohrab.
Every time I walk in the office, I feel like I’m visiting old friends. From Keara at the desk, to Mary, and Dr. Sohrab, they make you feel safe and comfortable. Dr.Sohrab has a wonderful aesthetic eye and I trust her judgment completely with fillers and Botox. She also listens to my concerns and thoughts when doing any work. Can’t recommend her enough.
I had an amazing experience with Dr. Sohrab. She is very personable, caring, patient, passionate and genuine. I was looking for someone like Dr. Sohrab, and the wait was so worthwhile. Dr. Sohrab took time to listen and had few options for me. I’m beyond happy with my results. I truly have found MY doctor
I decided to make an appointment with Dr. Sohrab, to address my droopy eyelid issue. My visit was very informative. She explained in-depth all the necessary steps it would take to improve my vision by having eyelid surgery. It was decided I would need to have a Browpexy, Muellerectomy and Blepharoplasty in order to lift my droopy lids. I made the decision to proceed with the surgery because I felt I was In safe and knowledgeable hands. On the day of surgery I was impressed with the facility and staff, I was instantly put at ease. The surgery went well and there were no complications. During my post operative period there were no surprises everything went exactly like Dr. Sohrab had explained to me. She remove my sutures I felt no pain and I told her she had “hands like feathers” Overall I have been very satisfied with the care and attention I received. I felt I had gotten the best possible treatment, and I am very happy with the results.
Dr. Sohrab was recommended to me by my previous Ocular surgeon who cared for me for the last 2 years because he moved to another state, and I am so happy that I am lucky enough to now be in Doctor Sohrab's care. I have a condition called benign essential blepharospasm which requires a very skilled eye surgeon or it can cause you allot of discomfort and only make you worse. Without this treatment I become functionally blind. I have been blessed by Dr. Sohrab's skilled hands and caring nature a very unusual combination. I thank everyday I can function like a normal healthy person thanks to her. Sincerely, T.B. Kinscherf
Dr Sohrab is extremely talented and skilled in her field. Kind, caring and compassionate as well as detail oriented. I found her to be prompt, efficient and answered all questions honestly. Post op surgery for eyelid results were more than I could have asked for, truly beautiful. She exceeded my expectations! and she continues to follow through with her work.
After my consultation, I decided I’d like to have surgery done. An appt. was made for me to see the doctor once more before scheduling surgery. Informed the office I’d be traveling from 3 hours away. Let them know omw there that I’d be 15 min late. When I was already more than halfway there, I got a call from the doctor that she did not want to see me and did not think she could give me a good surgery outcome. I wish I had known this before the office scheduled me to see her. I arrived there 4:15pm, 15 min after my scheduled time and the doctor did not care to see me. Being given a refund for my consultation fee did not change the fact that I wasted my time traveling to the office for no reason. Was treated poorly. Doctor is not caring.
Based on the photographs you provided, it does seem improved compared after the most recent surgery - the crease in the "before" photo was much too high compared to the left side and is characteristic of weak levator interdigitation to the skin. The symmetry is not perfect, and the right side is still mildly ptotic compared to the left side, but in congenital ptosis cases, it is difficult to achieve perfect symmetry because many times patients have difficulty closing the eye afterwards and that can create other issues.
Eyelid asymmetry is very much in the eye of the beholder - based on my review of your photographs, it seems that your left side was over-corrected and that your right upper eyelid position is actually normal. I would suggest lowering the left upper eyelid - however, if you feel strongly that the left upper eyelid position is the position you favor, then the only option would be to raise the right upper eyelid.
Based on the photographs, it does seem like you have a mild left ptosis. However, why is there a concern about Graves disease - because the right eye may be bulging more than the left? From these photos alone, one would not be able to distinguish between a change in eyeball position and a change in eyelid position. I would suggest seeing an oculoplastic surgeon to do an in-office assessment including measurement of your eyeball position in addition to your eyelid position to explain why this change occurred over time. Regarding your vision in the left eye, any eyelid procedure could improve your field of vision particularly the upper field of vision, but it would not change the vision in the eye itself - that would need to be corrected in another way (such as with glasses, if a refractive error is the underlying issue).
Based on the initial photograph, the asymmetry between the two sides was mild. It appears your surgeon chose an external approach given the incision through the skin, and perhaps removed some skin at the same time as the eyelid lift. It seems to me that the eyelid position is fine, and your primary concern is the way the incision healed - the photo is very grainy but I do believe it can be corrected. I would suggest seeing an oculoplastic surgeon who specializes in these types of procedures and has a strong understanding of eyelid anatomy to tailor the approach to address your concerns.
Based on your photographs, it does seem that you have mild ptosis of the upper eyelids on both sides. While you have prominent eyebrows and deeper set eyes, it does not appear that you have an eyebrow malposition and for that reason I would focus on addressing the upper eyelid position alone. It is important to see an eyelid specialist to do a thorough, in-person assessment and decide what the best surgical approach would be.
