Getting my stitches out soon from BA periaerolar incision and is it normal for surgical nurses to take out the stitches? This is my first BA and I am just genuinely curious. I would like to speak with my surgeon and I have some questions for my dr but can only seem to get ahold of post-op nurses.
Answer: Who takes out the stitches Thank you for your question. It depends on the surgeon and your preferences who can take the stitches out. Some nurses are trained to take out stitches so it should be fine. Just visit your surgeon if you want to speak to him directly regarding this. Best of luck. Answer: Post-op care Hi, CaliGaliAs long as your plastic surgeon's nurse is trained to remove the stitches, it should not be a problem for her to remove them. If you want to speak with your plastic surgeon, you should be able to see him/her. Your plastic surgeon should follow up and examine you closely post-op.Best regards.
