Hi I'd be most grateful for some help and advise on cosmetic treatments . I am only 31 years old however have always has dry or dehydrated skin . However recently I have developed crepey fine lines when I smile that I fear are quite severe for my age . I am also currently 7 months pregnant so feel I am restricted what I can use , eg , no retinoids . Please could you advise of anything I can do now and what treatments would be best after baby is born , eg , fillers ? Many thanks
Answer: Morpheus8 can help reduce appearance of crepey skin by tightening the skin for a more firm and defined look. Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Morpheus 8 Hi @red333. I recommend Morpheus 8. Morpheus8 is a non-surgical treatment for full body skin resurfacing, skin tightening, and fat reduction of stubborn areas. It uses minimally invasive fractional radiofrequency energy (RF) to penetrate the skin deeper than other microneedling devices, triggering the skin’s natural healing response to promote skin tightening and lifting. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!

Answer: Crepey/Crinkly Lower Face Skin May Be Improved By Skin Boosters & Dilute Neuromodulators First I would not recommend the use of any medications or injectables while pregnant and even during nursing. When the appropriate time does come, however, I have found that the use of injectable skin boosters (such as Restylane Skin Boosters, which is approved in Europe and Israel, but not yet in the U.S.) injected very superficially, like mesotherapy, beneath the crinkly area to be a helpful approach for smoothing this area. (In my Upper East Side practice, I use dilute concentrations of Belotero or Restylane Silk). In addition, very dilute concentrations of a neuromodulator, such as Botox, Dysport or Xeomin can also be injected in minute amounts to diminish the contribution of motion to the development of these crinkles. This is different from the way they are used for treating the muscles of facial expression, such as the crow feet.Since the above are advanced injection techniques, you must be sure to seek consultation and treatment by a board certified aesthetic physician with extensive experience and expertise. Make sure to ask to see before and after photos.

Answer: Severe crepey skin lower face. What treatments would be best after baby is born? You need to see a good aesthetician for the appropriate skin care including peels. Injection with one of the HA fillers such as Belotero would diminish some of the fine lines and yes, wait until after the baby is born. Congrats!

Answer: Facial rejuvenation after delivery Thank you for your question. The nice thing is that you have many options of treatment. Once you deliver, start a regimen of retinoid creams and moisturization with a good product like Elevase. Give it 3 months and consider fractional laser treatment. I recommend the RR Retinoid Repair cream from Kare Skin. It is gentle and works wonderfully for fine wrinkling.
