Why am I losing weight on my face while gaining weight everywhere else?

I am 28 years old and female. For the last 5 years I have gained about 20 pounds, but at the same time lost volume from my face. My face has began gaunt and thin, my chin is now very narrow, cheeks are loose and sagging and I have lost all the volume around my eyes, the eye sockets are looking very bony. My skin texture has also changed, it is very loose and thin with large pores. Also very noticeable laugh lines. Is this just normal aging? I What kind of options there is for these problems?

I find this to happen in small number of patients and fillers can be used to help restore the natural volume in your face.  I suggest someone who uses cannulas to inject, as you can get an improved result with little downtime or pain.  Best, Dr. Emer.
