Open wound near areola close to nipple

Question

Im 3 weeks after maxoplexy and augmentation. This week PS took out stitches around aerola and there were scabs before now big wound and it looks like spreading. Its also a little painful there. He said normal and to do wet to dry Gauze. I feel like i Need some kind of ointment or medicine but at last apt he said no. Im really stressed about this. I do have a apt on Monday but Just wondering about this. I also have open wound going down the breast. I never thought this could happen.

Hello,Although it is not 'normal', open wounds do happen.  Care for them is actually best with saline soaked gauze that is changed a few times daily.  Ointments or medicine is unnecessary. Follow up with your surgeon frequently, and you will heal quickly.Best of luck!

dear, thanks for your question and provided information as well… 
I have to say that you are still early on healing process, it is too soon to
determine how your results are going to be, per now, they look very nice and
beautiful, you can have one bigger than the other, feel swollen and also have
bruises and open wounds, it is normal and that can happen for the first 3 to 4
months until your implants have settle in. I recommend you to wait and keep
using your post surgical bra, that will help you with the shape and support. Hugs!

and how protected your implant is.  And with superficial wounds, wet to dry dressings are very reasonable.  Your scars will be much better than you can imagine but focus on healing as your surgeons shares your desire for an excellent outcome.
