Nasal silicone implant shape

I have been curious about how Asian rhinoplasty works and I found out that some people have an L-shaped silicon implant inserted into the nose, but it seems that there is something else about the shape of this implant where the patient can feel the implant in the left nostril, much like a nose booger that can't be removed. Is this normal? What is this type of implant called?
