Dr Joon Choi was able to make my first experience with surgery an excellent one. His knowledge about the field is evident and I was very informed about the procedure as well as the healing process. I had a mini facelift done earlier this year and everything looks very good. People around me can’t even notice what I’ve gotten done which was exactly my goal. It's been 2.5yrs since I underwent upper eyelid surgery with Dr. Choi and I love my results. Before the surgery, I struggled with the appearance of tired and heavy eyelids, which not only made me look tired but also affected my self esteem. The procedure was 1.5hrs long. Dr. Choi and staff made me feel super comfortable during the surgery. I have received numerous compliments on how much more energized and youthful my eyes appear. Dr. Choi and his staff are amazing! From the moment you walk in you feel welcomed by the ladies at the front desk. These ladies are attentive and professional. At first I was nervous- being a guy walking into such a place can be intimidating but everyone made me feel at home. Any nerves I had on my first visit vanished the moment I walked in.

I often get confused for looking younger than my actual age and I have Dr. Choi to thank for this. He is super knowledgeable and easy to talk to. If you're looking to look your very best- you have to visit this place.

Amazing! Dr. Choi is so great at what he does and makes you feel so comfortable once you step foot into his office. I've been coming to Dr. Choi for about a year now. I remember my first day getting my lip injections. I was beyond nervous and even thought to myself "what am I getting myself into." Dr. Choi is so personable that's why he made me feel so comfortable and I've been coming back ever since! My lips are still plumped, so if you're debating on who you should go to to get your lips done, I definitely recommend him! And not to mention his staffs are so sweet and down to earth.

I went to Dr. Choi for a simple vertical 1/3 inch long facial scar revision. We agreed on the plan during the consultation. On the surgery day Dr Choi was an hour late and did not want to discuss until the OR room. He invited in the whole office staff to watch and then drew out a different plan going off to the side. I asked him to correct it per what we had agreed. He refused to correct it and just started the surgery while we were in a state of disagreement, saying “you’ll see”.

Dr Choi did what he drew going against what we agreed and against what I reminded him of several times on the OR table. He also “redraped” my skin, which was not discussed (in fact I didn’t know what it meant at the time), and was totally over the top for a tiny scar revision and irresponsible. In addition, he ignored the top third of the original vertical scar because it didn't coincide with his new, unapproved alternative plan. The part he did address was left indented, jagged, and with an unjustifiable horizontal scar from his weird flap approach that he has never disclosed. He got fancy and failed without my consent, while seeming to be showing off in front of his young all-female staff.

There's another website called "health grades" with 2 negative reviews which are similar. In addition to the above, he had the nurse dressed me up in full body dressing as if we were doing major surgery, and scrubbed my entire face like crazy 3 times including sticking her fingers in my mouth (all 3 times)! The scar was half a foot from my mouth. My result has lasting issues despite a responsible revision procedure (by another doctor) due to Dr. Choi’s unethical behavior.
