How can I lose the size of my hips and shrink my waist after BBL?

Question

I had a bbl done on July 10th 2017 I am 9 days lost my doctor had made my hips waaaaaay to wide for my liking he had lipoed my abs and waist I wanted to know if I'm going to continue getting smaller or if not how I could shrink my waist and hips and if so will I still be proportioned while trying to get smaller? My measurements right now are 34-28-40. I would like to be 34-24/25-33/34.

Dear yashna0991,you are still in early stage of recovery when swelling can be expected. You should wait until the swelling resolves to see the final results. Also, in case of BBL there is always a 30-40% loss of transferred fat.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS

Hello and thank you for your question. It is too soon to know how your final results will be, I recommend my patients to use a compression garment for three months and doing massages. After the swelling process is over you'll be able to really see what your body will look like after surgery, if you're still not happy, discuss with your surgeon about your options.
