I had CoolSculpting - each side of waist was a 30 min. session. Is this standard? I see some did an hour.

With the new applicators, treatment time was decreased to 35 minutes. Keep in mind, for best results, a combination approach is needed and some people need more than one treatment with Coolsculpting. I recommend adding radiofrequency treatments like Vanquish for skin tightening and with Z wave/Cellutone for skin smoothing. Older CoolSculpting machines used to take about an hour per treatment area. If your doctor was using the new CoolAdvantage, treatment time is only 35 minutes for most areas of the body. At our center, we also offer DualSculpting. This allows us to treat two areas of the body at once, which halves your treatment time. With the newer CoolAdvantage applicators, treatment time for each area is thirty-five minutes, however if you are using the larger applicator, treatment time increases to forty-five minutes per treatment area. The older style applicators run between forty-five minutes to one hour for one treatment area. The older CoolSculpting applicators had a treatment time of 1 hour.  For the newer applicators, the smaller applicator has a treatment time of 35 minutes and the larger applicator (for the front of the abdomen) has a treatment time of 45 minutes.

The length of your CoolSculpting treatment will vary depending on the number of areas being treated during one visit. The latest technology of CoolSculpting can treat a patient in 35 minutes, while some older machines require a treatment period of one hour. Some patients have more than one treatment during the same office visit. We even have multiple CoolSculpting systems and applicators, so it’s possible for a patient to have multiple areas treated at once. 

The new handpiece for the flanks is 35 minutes per cycle. This sounds like the treatment you had.

This is a great question! CoolSculpt offers multiple applicators for treatments. The newest applicators, they are called the Advantage and Advantage Plus, treat areas in 30 minutes.
