Buffalo humps won’t respond well to CoolSculpting. Liposuction is the best way to eliminate a buffalo hump. Depending on your skin quality, you might need Ultherapy, too, to tighten the skin after the procedure. Be sure to consult a board-certified dermatologist who has expertise in removing buffalo humps with liposuction.
Hi there,Unfortunately Coolsculpt is not recommended for this area. It is not FDA approved, nor would the applicator properly fit over this area. I suggest partnering with a local service provider to determine which options are best for you.
The normal CoolSculpting applicators, which use suction to draw in the fat to be treated, would not work on a buffalo hump because the fat there would not be drawn in to the applicator. It is possible that the flat applicator could be used on this area, but I have not done this and am uncertain how well it would work in that area. It is possible that SculpSure could be used on this area because the applicator just needs to sit on top of the skin. I have not tried SculpSure on this area so again, am uncertain of any improvement that could be obtained. The usual method that I use to remove fat from a buffalo hump is with ultrasonic assisted liposuction.
Coolsculpting is good for removing stubborn areas of fat, but I don't recommend it for improving a buffalo hump, because it lacks body shaping. For best results, I recommend a hi definition procedure like VASER liposuction. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermiRF and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. This combination will give you the most toned result. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a hi definition physique expert. Best, Dr. Emer
i doubt you could do CS there but liposuction works great and can be done under local anesthesia. you can see results immediately with essentially no down time
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, CoolSculpting is not approved for the treatment of subcutaneous fat behind the neck. I recommend seeing a plastic surgeon in your area to see if you are a candidate for a surgical alternative like liposuction. All the best, Dr.Michon
Yes! You can CoolSculpt mutiple areas in one treatment or break up to different days. We often have patients treat multiple areas on the same day!
CoolSculpting is very precise. Our bodies, in general, are not symmetric, so sometimes the treatments may not be entirely symmetric. A very important part of the treatment is the evaluation, assessment and planning. We are lucky in our practice that we have a board-certified plastic sur...
There is no medical concern with coolsculpting and stage 3 kidney disease. Coolsculpting will not put any extra work load on the kidneys.

Hi there,Spanx or any type of compression wear is not mandatory post Coolsculpt, however, it may help with discomfort post treatment. If you do not like wearing the spanx, you don't have to. You also do not need to avoid ibuprofen before or after your Coolsculpt treatment. That is the beauty o...
It is not likely to adversely affect your treatment outcome from Coolsculpting. But smoking could certainly affect your exercise regimen, which is an important part of the equation when it comes to keeping your weight off.
