Question

BBL left large craters on my bum making it embarrassing to wear clothes. 1. Will Celfina flatten the area as a result of dimple/crater removal? I do not want to lose ANY volume. 2. Can't fat fill the dimple / crater gaps and hence promote volume? 3. What can I do to fill out these craters?!?

Thank you for your question.The best treatment for cellulite is Cellfina. However, a combination approach is needed to get the most improvement. Thank you for your question. Cellfina is considered the gold standard in cellulite treatment. This treatment uses subcision to release the fibrous bands under the skin that cause the dimpled effect. If your issue is cellulite, this is likely the best treatment option for you. 
If volume loss is your primary issue, fat grafting, dermal fillers, or injections of a collagen inducer might be a better choice. These treatments add fullness to isolated areas of fat loss, creating a smoother surface. I recommend scheduling an in-person assessment with a board-certified dermatologist, who can perform an accurate assessment and create a treatment plan based on your unique needs and goals.

Thank you for your question and posting your picture. The indentations you are seeing are due to a tethering of the skin by fibrous bands. This is the principal cause of cellulite. When you had your BBL, the fat further pushed the skin out but the tethering may have made the indents more prominent. The best way to treat this situation is Cellfina which will release the fibrous bands that are pulling the skin in. You should not experience volume loss with this procedure. I often combine a collagen stimulating agent such as Bellafill or Sculptra with Cellfina to generate collagen and improve the quality of the skin.I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.

Thank you for your photos. The most tried and true method of removing cellulite is Cellfina. Cellfina addresses the core problem with cellulite by releasing the bands which tether your skin down and create the dimples. Other methods such as local filler, fat grafting, or skin tightening with radiofrequency or heat may temporarily improve the texture by tightening the skin, but will not create a lasting change to the cellulite unless that tethering band is cut. You can however combine filler with cellfina for more dramatic results. Hope this helps!
