Breast augmentation capsular tear or ripped implant? (Photo)

Hi,I was wondering if I possibly ripped the pocket serounding the Implant (gummy bear under muscle tear drop)or even the implant itself? I felt a sharp pain and there is a visible rip on my right breast.its feelable&I can put my finger in the "hernia".The implant itself didn't move, The implant edges stayed in place.It looks more like a dubblebubble but appeared from one to another second with a painful sensation, it's more noticeable when I hold my arm up, what happened? It may be a torn capsule. It may be a ruptured implant. If you implants are older I would have surgery to replace and fix "hernia" may need some Alloderm sewn into pocket. You can have an MRI but is $$$ and Using ultrasound by a good tech may be able to tell you if ruptured for about 500$. See a reputable board certified plastic surgeon!

It's best to see your operating surgeon to be examined.  It is entirely possible there is nothing wrong at all and that the implant has migrated as a result of the forces of the pectoral muscle on the implant.

Hello,It appears that your pocket has opened at the incision line, the area of greatest weakness in the first three months after surgery. This will require a minor revision surgery to fix. Have a discussion with your surgeon. Best of luck!
