There is no fixed time where you will know the final size of your breasts after breast augmentation but usually we can say that inflammation may start to cease after one month and a half to three months post surgery, but remember every body is different so inflammation periods can vary from patient to patient.

I am sorry to hear about your concerns after breast augmentation surgery.Generally speaking, breast implants will "drop" into the pocket that was created during surgery. The rate of breast implant "settling" may depend on factors such as size of breast implant pocket dissected, tightness of the overlying skin/muscle layers, and size of breast implant utilized. Normally, it takes about 3-6 months (for some patients longer) to see the final result. It is very common for one side to settle faster than the other.
I routinely ask my patients to wait at least 3-6 months before evaluating the end results of the breast augmentation surgery. This waiting time allows patients to (usually) physically and psychologically adapt to the new body image. 
In other words, it is much too early to evaluate the outcome of the procedure performed; your breasts will undoubtedly change over the course of the next several weeks/months.   In the long run, once patients have adjusted physically and psychologically to their new body image, the vast majority of patients are very pleased.

By about 2 months if the implants settled, then you probably can get an idea of what you final size will be.  They probably will not change a huge amount at this point.

You are early in your recovery from breast augmentation.  In the next few months your implants will settle and the final swelling will resolve.  Wait until you are 6 months out from augmentation to judge the final result and size.  If at that time you wish to have smaller implants, discuss your desires and concerns with your plastic surgeon.  Best wishes.

Thank you for your question. By now, you have lost the swelling from surgery and are in the healing phase where the implant settles and the muscle gets "used" to the implant being there. I believe that it will take 6-8 months to see your final result. The implant starts to "drop" into its position and things start to look more natural. Unless you are really unhappy, my advice would be to give things some time to mature. Stay in touch with your surgeon, and do express your concerns.

If you are now 2 months post op your final size will be pretty much what you have now.So I think this is it and give it some time to adjust.

At two months after surgery, most if not all of the swelling is gone so the "size" is pretty much what it's going to be. Over the next few months, the soft tissues may relax and stretch such that there is more pliability and a more natural look to the underlying implant. They may also drop a little bit such that the implant is better aligned with the nipple. Hope that's helpful.

Thank you for your question.  Most breast implants drop by 3 months however changes in the breast do occur clear up to 6 months after breast augmentation surgery.  I would wait another 4 months to see the final result in long-term breast implants always look smaller than they do in the first few months.  Of course express your concern to your surgeon..
