I am 30 I had breast implants 9 months ago and didn't needed a lift. Now I feel like I have less cleavage than I had because the breast is hanging low and I am unhappy...What can cause the problem? I am seeing my surgeon in a month but I am scared that I might now need a mastopexy to fix this mess...

Answer: Low breasts Just based on your photos, you breasts appear to naturally sit somewhat low on your chest. Your implants do not appear to have been placed behind the muscle and have sagged somewhat due to the weight. Your breasts could be lifted with a mastopexy, and you might consider having your implants positioned behind the muscle to help give upper breast fullness.

Answer: Obtaining more cleavage with larger breast implants It appears as though you could go with larger breast implants instead of a lift. Visit with your plastic surgeon to discuss some options.

Answer: Breast hanging too low, what's causing the problem? If your breast implants were placed under the breast on top of the muscle the skin underneath the implant has not been able to adequately support the implants and they have dropped to a lower position. Do not have larger breast implants, they will simply stretch and sag more. A revisionary procedure to close the bottom portion of the pocket and the fabrication of a sling of acellular dermal matrix may help lift the implant and prevent further sagging..
