1 year post- op- Is it possible to have tender pain on buttocks, back and hip after a BBL? Could this be the J Plasma?

Without in person examination the only educated guess is the J-Plasma has caused painful fibrosis. This is one of the reason the FDA has banded use of it on skin.

Chronic pain after either Liposuction or fat transfer is pretty unusual. Areas of soreness or tenderness with pressure can go on for several months but typically things return to normal.

Pain in the lower back buttocks hips and thighs is very common and is often attributed to spinal cord pathology.

A complete work up requires an MRI to see if there’s nerve impingement which is usually felt in the sciatic nerve distribution.

While it’s possible the pain is related to the procedure it is probably more likely to be coincidental.

Regardless, there isn’t much a plastic surgeon can do for the discomfort you’re having.

Renuvion or JPlasma increases pain during and after the procedure but should not create long-term pain.

I gave up on JPlasma a few years ago because I saw no benefits in using it.

My best recommendation is to make sure your work up has been done by a pain specialist including an MRI assessment of your spinal cord and nerves.
