Hello dear!!Thanks for the question and provided information as well. Unfortunately, without the right pictures, it is very difficult to give you a proper answer. l recommend you to make an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon to talk about your goals and anything you need to know.Good luck :)Dr. Luis Mejia.
The issue may be more with the quality of your skin than your overall health. The elasticity of a 70 year old patient may not be ideal and therefore the outcome from the liposuction may not be optimal. Consult with a few surgeons in person and also consult with your primary care physician to see if you are medically cleared for this.Best wishes,Dr.Bruno
Age is not the end all be all when it comes to being a candidate for surgery. You can be on the older side (60-70) and still be in good health if you are exercising multiple times a week and getting your heart rate up. On the other hand, you can be 40 years old but have multiple comorbidities like high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity, smoking, no exercise, that make you a bad candidate for surgery. A BBL takes more of a toll on the body than say, a breast augmentation, because you are liposuctioning a lot of fat and there are more fluid and blood pressure shifts. You may not be able to take as much fat off someone older in a safe manner. I get medical clearance on all my patients and would certainly need it in someone over 60 as well. So I would say there is a chance but we have to make sure your health is good and your body is a good candidate as well.Good luck with your journey and cute dog!Ramsen Azizi M.D.Double Board Certified Plastic SurgeonR.A.M. Thank you for your question. There is not a specific age, but first, for safety reasons, to be a good candidate for the procedures you want at the same time, your labs and cardiovascular preoperative evaluation must be optimal.Kind Regards,Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-
Your age by itself will not prevent you from having a BBL or achieving lasting results. Your general health, genetics, exercise habits, dietary habits, weight, and other factors must be considered. Most plastic surgeons prefer that the BMI be near 30 and a stable weight maintained for several months prior to the surgery to lower the risks of complications during and after surgery and to provide maximum results. Liposuction will remove the excess fat on your sides, abdomen, and back and make the waist as small as possible. The fat harvested can be transferred to the buttocks to improve roundness and projection as well as hourglass shape.
