If you lose weight after a BBL will the butt still be bigger than it originally was?

Hello, thank you for your question !We recommend being at a stable weight preoperatively, as weight fluctuations can alter your result. Weight gain/loss is caused by individual fat cells growing larger or smaller; fat cells do not "disappear" with normal weight loss. Therefore, if you were to have more fat cells in you buttocks than you did before, then yes, it would be bigger than it was when you last weighed 115 pounds if you were to lose weight again.

Hi thanks for your question. With weight loss your fat cells will shrink and with weight gain they will grow. We typically recommend that you maintain a stable weight following your BBL procedure in order to ensure that your BBL result stays more or less the same, which is why we also recommend that you are more or less within your goal weight range prior to having the procedure. When you lose weight you lose weight everywhere, not only in the targeted areas so proportionally, yes, your buttocks would still be larger, but again, if you want to maintain the best BBL result possible it's best not to have major weight fluctuations after your BBL. I highly recommend that you book an in person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss any questions or concerns that you might have about this procedure and in order to assess whether this is the right surgery for you.

If you stay within 10 or 20 lbs of your operative weight, you are likely to maintain the results. The fat will not move, but losses in weight will distribute differently. The fat that lives in the buttocks from the procedure will get larger with weight gain and smaller with weight loss.

Thank you for your question. Weight loss affects the entire body which means you will lose weight from your buttocks as well. i would recommend that you keep your current weight to avoid losing weight from your buttocks.

you will likely see your weight gain in a uniform distribution after a fat transfer to the buttock (Brazilian buttock lift). The weight or fat that you gain after surgery will not necessarily all go to your buttock area. Similar to weight loss, It’s important to realize that weight loss will affect the entire body, but it may affect the buttock in a more pronounced manner.

After a BBL, you lose or gain weight in the same way as before. So the answer is yes, if you lose a considerable amount of weight, the results of your surgery will be affected.
